You’re probably wondering what does the post subject has to do anything with the photo above, right? Well, keep reading and you’ll see that there is a connection 😀
Last collection from Alverde which is available in dm drugstores is called Mademoiselle and though I like most of the collection, I got myself only one item – eyeshadow in shade Cassis. I love the packaging of it, it’s really gorgeous – round cardboard box with a tiny bow on top of it. You just have to keep it away from water since that probably wouldn’t end up well.
Here’s that lovely packaging:
They had samples in the drugstore so I was able to try it before purchasing and well, it wasn’t crazy pigmented but I could see it would look great with just a bit of help so, I got it anyway. I love this beautiful dark plum shade.
Now I’m getting to explaining the subject of this post. As I mentioned, it’s not highly pigmented but it looks amazing with a bit of help. I applied it without and with eye shadow base (UDPP in this case).
It looks completely different, doesn’t it?

And, if you were on the fence whether you should get an eye shadow base or not, I hope this post will help you justify that purchase 😀 I recommend you to get either Urban Decay Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Insurance or Artdeco Eye shadow Base (haven’t tried Artdeco but apparently it’s a very good one).
