Make a Difficult Subject Interesting

Students might be eager to learn a new subject and would quickly settle for the program that offers it. However, as the semesters progress, it becomes abundantly clear that some of the courses might just not sit well with the students. It might fail to arouse the interest of the students, and they would perform poorly in the tests and assignments that you give them. This would put the teacher under great scrutiny and pressure, and they might feel very downtrodden over their failure to inspire their students towards a subject that they feel so passionately about.

Not only is Suliman well known for his impeccable inventions, but he is also known for being able to engage his students in profound discussions over any subject matter.

He does this by first asking a question. One rule you need to keep in mind is that just because you are teaching a difficult, dry, and serious subject does not mean you cannot get creative. If subjects like math could stimulate the students who are just not born to dabble in it, then any subject can be converted this way. Dale Carnegie once said that “People are not interested in you, they are interested in themselves.” That is to quite an extent true. If you add the “you” factor in your teaching method, then you have been able to gain access into the students’ mind easily. So in biology, whenever you are talking about a certain concept always point at them that they possess such a thing and that this is how a certain thing can be affected.

A whiteboard and a marker should not be your only source of imparting education. You can also use different media tools, games, and activities within the class to be able to help them understand better. A person from the field that you are teaching can also be asked to give a speech to the class where they can relay their practical life experiences.
