College education can be particularly expensive, reaching about $25,000 per year. It means that students with zero savings accounts could be burdened by up to $100,000 of student loan debts when they graduate from college. Due to the significant financial issues, many have asked whether college is worth it. Again, the answer depends on the situation of each student. Many students expect that they will have good job after the graduation, so they are willing to apply for a significant amount of student loan. Problems can be more significant for students who have dropped out, because there’s no guarantee that they will get a good job. In the job market, bachelor degree is essential and already considered as the norm. It means that without a bachelor degree, applicants will have to accept low-paid jobs. It is often thought that college degree is the silver bullet to achieve good career and it’s an essential stepping stone to gain financial freedom. Unfortunately, bachelor degree can be very expensive to obtain.
Because college education is expensive and time consuming, it may not be appropriate for some people. As an example, college education isn’t for students who have bad marks in high school. Some high schools students simply hate school and they have zero motivation to continue their education in the college. They may lack the focus on educational process and prefer to focus on other activities, such as sports, music, arts, online business and others. However, the worst culprit for not continuing college education is the lack of maturity. Some students could have non-productive daily activities, such as playing video games, using social media, partying and others. In this situation, it is important for parent to shape the behavior and mindset of their children since elementary school. Children should be instructed to do many productive activities and focus more on their school education. In fact, parents may need to accompany children during their study session and provide their full attention.
Parents can become terrific motivators, but children should be well motivated since childhood. By listening to their children, parents could guide them, even when children make stressful mistakes in school. Many students are less motivated with school when they face accumulated problems that overwhelm, while parents don’t provide support or even aware about their children’s plight. Even so, high school students who have great talent could choose not to go to college to focus on their skills. As an example, youngsters with significant singing skills may focus on their singing careers if they have significant opportunities from major labels. Some young students could prove to be adept business people and they may choose to open a store. This could be a good option if there’s a significant demand in the market and there’s a good possibilities for these young students to expand their business acumen, instead of spending their time in college. It is important that young high school students are given the opportunity to expand themselves.
